Distinctive Unit Insignia
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/16 inches (2.70 cm) in height consisting of a triangular shape with one point rounded and to base, the upper side formed by an arched gold band inscribed with the motto "POWER WITH SUPPORT" in brick red capital letters, the area below it divided into blue on the left and scarlet on the right by a central white arrowhead pointer surmounting in base a gold wheel with eight spokes and a brick red rim.
Brick red and golden yellow are the colors of the Transportation Corps. The colors blue, white and red are in reference to the flag of the Philippines, where the unit was originally activated as headquarters of a Truck Battalion of the Philippine Scouts. The unit's history as a truck outfit is emphasized by the wheel and the arrow denotes the aviation support of the Battalion's mission. The motto "Power With Support" reflects the unit's pride in its mission and its successful accomplishment.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 4 November 1968.
